Ellie

Hey everyone! So sorry I’ve been incognito for a while. Things have been super hectic lately with my life. I’ve been job hunting and finally got a photography job which I am super excited about! I’ve also been spending a lot of time with my family and my friends just because it is my summer vacation and its always nice to have some personal family time. But I have some fun photoshoots planned and I hope you’re all excited for what is to come, because I am!

It is a scorching 113 degrees here in Arizona today so I decided to do a small indoor photoshoot with my dog Ellie. I know you’ve all seen my dogs before and your response was amazing to my first photoshoot of them so I wanted to come back with a few more indoor photos for you guys to see of Ellie.

Ellie is my 2 and a half year old yorkie poodle who I adopted almost a year ago from an amazing organization called yorkieluv (go visit this link and adopt today!). You can see me and my roommate RJ on their Happily Ever After page with my beautiful pup the first day I adopted her.  Please go show this organization some love and look at their yorkies up for adoption.

My tips for taking indoor photos of a dog are simply: FOLLOW THAT LIGHT! I posed Ellie in front of my patio door so that the natural sunlight would hit her face and illuminate the photo. Also be patient because your furry friend will want to move around while you want them to sit still. You can download some apps of dog noises to get their attention, but I just ask Ellie “do you wanna…” and she perks right up because she thinks she’s getting a treat, a bath, or a walk. Now don’t worry I gave her a treat after this photoshoot!

Stay cool out there, hydrate, and keep your furry friends paws cool on that hot summer pavement! Please enjoy these photos of Ellie! DSC_0071DSC_0102DSC_0116 copyDSC_0118
